DETERMINATION OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ SELF-ESTEEM LEVELS

Abstract: Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the selfesteem levels university students and factors affecting them. Method: research was conducted in descriptive type between March-April 2022. universe consisted 456 active enrolled Spring semester 2021-2022 academic year at Ardahan University Vocational School Health Services. sample 283 who voluntarily participated research. Research data were collected with “Introductory Form” “Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale”. analyzed SPSS 26 package program. Number, percentage, mean multiple regression analysis used analysis. Results: self-esteem score participants found be 20.123±5.31. In participants’ self-esteem, main variables determined as economic status family, educational father, state choosing department willingly. As a result analysis, model significant (F:2.448, p < 0.001). adjusted R2 value 0.089 explanatory power 8.9%. Conclusion Recommendations: research, it that above medium level, their affected by status, education level willingly department. Low can prevent individuals from directing plans for future progressing comfortably when they start working life. For reason, thought more studies should reveal it, attempts made increase low self-esteem.
